Introducing IR Mobile Access

Nothing gets the Inner Range team more excited than the opportunity to meet customers, installers and partners, and talk about what’s new in our unified access control and security systems portfolio. At the end of the month the Inner Range team will be attending The Security Event (TSE) in Birmingham at the NEC – find us at Stand 5/L85.

We will be highlighting our flagship products – Integriti and Inception, along with key updates you can expect for both brands this year. As a pioneer in this space, we are constantly evolving our products to meet customer expectations and stay ahead of the curve when it comes to industry trends.

The show is also the ideal place to announce some exciting news – the launch of the IR Mobile Access solution to the UK and wider European markets.

A unique approach to mobile access – IR Mobile Access

While other manufacturers store credential data in the cloud, Inner Range has taken a unique position; the IR Mobile Access solution takes security a step further to minimise the impact of a potential cyber attack. All user data, security keys, mobile credentials and invitations are created, delivered and stored on the hardware controller. The controller itself is installed in a secure location and with Integriti, the credentials are stored in both the controller and Integriti software, neither of which are accessible externally.

More than that, IR Mobile Access offers users unique ways to present credentials, including:

  • Manual mode – simply using the app
  • Access on approach mode – credentials are automatically to the reader once user is within a specified (programmed) distance to the door
  • Biometric confirmation – operates in much the same was as access on approach, but with an additional layer of security (biometric authentication) built in via 2FA
  • Touch mode – as the user approaches the reader, it connects with their smartphone and activates once the user has touched the reader

Importantly, IR Mobile Access is still very much a cloud connected solution when it comes to the remote access of the site thanks to IR Connect – a cloud-based service that we provide to deliver hassle-free connections of security system hardware and software over the internet. How do we do it? All data is kept private and access to the site is locked thanks to IR Connect’s secure SSL/TLS encrypted communications and authentication.

The Benefits of IR Mobile Access

  • Range of unique options to present credentials
  • Cyber secure with credentials stored on controller
  • No subscription needed – one-off purchase just like an access card

What else is new from Inner Range?

IR Detectors

We will also be showcasing our new range of IR Detectors at the show. We’ve partnered with the world’s best brand of intruder detectors, Optex, to deliver a professional, hardwired indoor dual technology motion detector. The IR Detectors are ideal for nearly every application and are available in three models, PIR, Dual Tech and Dual Tech Anti-Mask.

HID Readers

The team will be offering visitors a preview of our new HID Readers, thanks to our partnership with HID Global. These readers, all Signo™ variants, feature NFC and, importantly, have the Inner Range Sifer protocol on board for maximum efficiency and versatility.
