Inner Range has just rolled out IR Connect, a powerful new cloud platform designed to combine all your Inner Range security products and services into one, unifying and elevating the customer experience.

This release marks a significant leap forward, replacing the popular SkyCommand App with a more unified and future-ready solution – significantly boosting smart security integration, hybrid cloud functionality and user accessibility.

What is IR Connect?

According to Jason Hartley, Director of IoT Services at Inner Range, IR Connect is “a unified cloud platform that brings all of our connected products and services together into one singular experience.”

This means easier control and monitoring of your security systems from virtually anywhere, whether you’re managing multiple sites or simply streamlining operations.

The new IR Connect App is fully backwards compatible with the SkyCommand App, ensuring a smooth transition for existing users. You can download the app now from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, easily recognisable by the familiar Inner Range logo.

While security is always the overriding factor in access control, it is the user that has had a major influence on the evolution of the technology. Back in the day, using physical keys was easy enough but they were easily lost, easy to duplicate and ran the danger of getting mixed up in all the other keys you were likely carrying around.

Built for the Future

Inner Range has invested heavily in developing IR Connect, creating a robust and scalable platform. This foresight ensures it can support both the current and future ecosystem of Inner Range connected devices, benefitting both security professionals and everyday users.

As Jason Hartley explains, this development “has significantly improved our cloud connectivity capabilities, allowing us to bring exciting products and services to our customers that would not have been possible before.”

This platform is the foundation for the next generation of smart security solutions, including a new range of intelligent video cameras with seamless IR Connect integration. In addition, IR Connect makes it easier than ever for users to control and monitor systems from virtually anywhere, empowering users with more control, flexibility and security.

Security at its core: a hybrid cloud approach

One of the standout features of IR Connect is its innovative hybrid cloud architecture. This design combines the convenience of remote access with the paramount importance of on-premise data protection. “We understand how important data sovereignty and security is to our customers,” says Jason Hartley. “That’s why IR Connect stores critical site and user data onsite, behind the cybersecurity policies of the organisation.”

This means you get the best of both worlds: secure remote access via your smart devices, tablets, laptops, or even through Integriti Enterprise Software, while your sensitive data remains within your own controlled environment.

A seamless upgrade for SkyCommand users

If you’re an existing SkyCommand user, you can confidently transition to IR Connect without any disruption. The new app boasts a modernised interface and enhanced features, all while maintaining the reliability and security Inner Range is known for.

With IR Connect, you’ll benefit from:

  • Unified control across all your Inner Range connected products
  • Enhanced cloud capabilities with secure, encrypted access from anywhere
  • future-ready platform for upcoming product integrations

IR Connect is more than just an app update; it’s a new standard for unified security systems and secure cloud connections. As Inner Range continues to innovate, this platform will be key to delivering the next generation of intelligent, integrated security solutions.
